Note #1: Guide sold the S-16 Spotlight during the 1940s. Guide replaced the S-16 with the smaller S-18 in 1948. Sales of the the S-16 were discontinued. To continue to offer customers a spotlight for the 1940 - 1948 GM cars, Guide sold a version S-18 with a slightly shorter shaft to mount on the windshield post of 40-48 cars.
