This is an original GM aluminum manual transmission bellhousing. The casting number is 3849309. The 3849309 bellhousing was made specifically for 1962-1967 Chevy II/Nova and Pontiac Acadian applications. I believe this was used on V8 applications only. The angled clutch fork is unique to Chevy II/Nova applications. The 6 cylinder bellhousing was similar but had a smaller hole in the center to index with the transmission bearing retainer.
