This auction is for this ORIGINAL antique GUAGE store boxcombtailed construction The box is straight from the former Rolls-Royce ( and Bentley ) factory in Crewe Cheshire. The factory was built in 1938 to provide Merlin engines for the Spitfire aircraft which were being built in anticipation of war. This was made by Nottingham Mills in nearby Robin Hood’s Sherwood Forest. It smells wonderfully of an engineering workshop ! It is about 8 1/4 x 6 3/4 inches.
