This is a door latch for the left rear door on a 38-40 Ford 4 door sedan. Would also work on the right door on 38-40 2 DR sedans and coupes. But wouldn't have the outside door lock function. Or you could use all the parts but the frame to rebuild your 2 DR right door latch.
