Here is a pair of 1953 - 1955 MG TF only glove boxes, one with a period ashtray. I don't know that the ashtray is a "factory installed" item, maybe a dealer added accessory. I'm not trying to encourage any bad habits, but I think they add a bit of patina and maybe a bit of James Bond flair....
